The City Council shall consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation, and may hold an additional hearing on the amendments at its discretion. The City Council’s approval, modification, deferral, or denial of an amendment proposal shall be based on the criteria set forth in CMC 14.27.040. The City shall transmit a copy of the development regulation or zoning map amendments to Washington State Department of Commerce within 10 days of the City Council’s final adoption.
