(1) This master program establishes the following five shoreline environments for the City of Covington. These shoreline environments shall include the shorelines of the City of Covington, including shorelands, surface waters, and bedlands.

(2) Shoreline environment designations are depicted on the official shorelines map, adopted at the time of adoption of this master program and included in the shoreline element of the City of Covington comprehensive plan. These maps only approximately identify or depict the lateral extent of shoreline jurisdiction. The actual lateral extent of the shoreline jurisdiction shall be determined on a site-specific basis by a qualified professional at the time of a development application. (Ord. 09-19 § 6 (Exh. C))
