There is created a new account entitled unemployment insurance benefit account which shall be utilized for the reimbursement of unemployment benefits paid by the Employment Security Department of the State and chargeable to the City. Deposits shall be made to such account from City operating funds on a monthly basis or other intervals as determined by the City Council.

(1) Expenditures. Expenditures from such account shall be made from time to time as required by law to reimburse the Employment Security Department of the State for unemployment benefits paid by it and chargeable to the City.

(2) Administration. The City Manager or designee is authorized and directed to establish and administer such account and to make such temporary investments of account proceeds in any manner authorized by law. (Ord. 35-97 § 1)
