15.05.110 International Fuel Gas Code adopted.
There is adopted and by this reference made a part of this chapter as though fully set forth herein, at length, that certain code known as the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), 2021 Edition, as adopted by the State Building Code Council in Chapter 51-52WAC, as published by the International Code Council.
(1) IFGC Section 101.1 Deleted, Title. Section 106.1 is added with the following:
101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the International Fuel Gas Code of the City of Covington, hereinafter referred to as “this code.”
(2) IFGC Section 103.1 Deleted, Title. Section 103.1 is added with the following:
103.1 Creation of enforcement agency. The department of Building Safety Division is hereby created and the official in charge thereof shall be known as the code official.
(3) IFGC Section 114 Deleted, Means of Appeal. IFGC Section 114 is hereby deleted in its entirety and substitution is made to the City Hearing Examiner in accordance with CMC 15.05.220.
(4) IFGC Section 115.4 Violation Penalties. Section 115.4 is amended with the following:
115.4 Violation Penalties. Any person who violates a provision of this code or fails to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who erects, constructs, alters or repairs a building or structure in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the Building Code Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall be subject to penalties as prescribed by law and Chapter 1.30 CMC.
